Nissan Micra [REVIEW]

The Japanese automakers Nissan announced the commercial launch of their compact B segment car, MICRA. It will be a move that could intensify price war in the premium hatchback segment.
Nissan Micra is a right product at the right time from Nissan with a complete package of safety, performance, features and comfort.

Nissan Micra is available in four versions and they are Micra XE, Micra XL, Micra XV. The XE should be in entry level, XL should be in mid-level and XV in end level. Nissan is planning for launching Micra's diesel and sedan model. Micra is equipped with first class features incluuding electric foldable mirrors, a push button engine start-stop system and intelligent key with immobilizer besides other safety and luxury features.

The rear design includes small clear lens tail lamp with integrated turn indecators and revrese light made Micra more attractive. In the top model, Micra features body coloured bumber, rear washer, rear wiper, rear defogger, rear spoiler, body coloured door handles and body coloured outside rear-view mirrors.

Nissan Micra will come with HR12, 3 cylinder engine with a displacement of 1198cc. This petrol engine will produce a maximum power of 75 bhp @ 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 104 Nm @ 4000 rpm.

Nissan Micra is 5 seater vehicle having tyre size of 165/70 R14 and a turning circle of 4.65 mts. McPherson strut, Torsion beam suspension gives better riding comfort and performance. Micra introduced some other features including 220 litre boot space, power steering, front disc and rear drum brakes, body coloured bumbers and a fuel tank capacity of 41 litres. Two trip meters, airbag for the driver are available for the base model Micra XE.

The 5 speed manual gear gives fuel consumption and safety in city ridings. Nissan also offers some other comforts for their valuable costumers including AC without climate control, manual central locking, remote boot, remote fuel filler, seat adjustment, tinted glass and folding rear seats in the standard model. The Nissan Micra measures 3780mm in length, 1665mm in width, 1530mm in height and also have a longer wheelbase of 2450mm.

Nissan Micra also promises a fuel efficiency of approximately 18 kmpl. The top model of Nissan Micra includes music system with 4 speakers, power steering, power window, remote central locking, steering mounted controls, automatic climate control system, duel SRS airbags, Anit-lock braking system(ABS) and Electronic brake distribution(EBD).
