A day of off-roading went bad for this Toyota Land Cruiser Prado owner who drove his Prado into a sinkhole.

This incident happened in Russia at a test-drive organized by the Prado fan club .The Land Cruiser Prado came out of the water pretty much dreched from the inside out as you can see in these photos.

Toyota's Higlander Gets A New Facelift For 2011

Toyota's new face lifted highlander made it world debut at the Moscow International Motor Show.

On the exterior the new car gets a nose with a sharper grill, headlights and fog lamps. In the back the car get a new bumper with chrome accents and new tail-lamps.

For the Russian and Ukrainian cars, power comes from a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine making 273 hp and US cars get the old I4, V6, or hybrid and front- or all-wheel drive options from the old car.

Toyota Etios To Be Out Sometime by December or January

Toyota says that they are going to release their new small car acalled the Toyota Etios by December or January 2011 in India.

TKM Managing Director Hiroshi Nakagawa stated that "Etios will be launched by December or January in Indian market and after it meets its expected target of sale, it will be exported,"

Toyota also stated that they are looking forward of a sales unit of 70,000 units in the first year. They also said that them being in the Indian market has added to 3 per cent but they also said they were moving ahead one stap at a time .

No specific price was stated for the Toyota Etios.

Toyota lawyers made a Little bubo and let the company's Supra name expire. But you dont have to be scared as Toyota is back and after a 4 year lapse and they have applied for the trademark again. While nothing is official , you could expect a new supra that may look something the FT-86 concept we saw at the 2009 Tokyo Auto Show. Akio Toyoda Set On A New Supra

The head of Toyota Akio Toyoda says he would like to see a new supra soon sometime in the near future. The old fifth generation Supra was a big hit amongst tuning fans and drifting fans because its front engined rear wheel drive layout made it easy to drift. That car was stopped in 2002 and in 2007 Toyota unveiled the FT-HS concept which we saw first at the Detroit motor show. Akio Toyoda used to test drive the fourth-gen Supra on the Nurburgring and now he see a newer better car as his own project. The rest off Toyota we not exactly agree with him becaus the company already plans a new MR-2 and a FT-86 in colobartion with Subaru . If this car is given the green light , expect it to be powered by hybrid involving a V6 engine.

Toyota is planning for launching the hatchback model YARIS in Indian market which should be their first hatchback model introducing in India. The C segment petrol car should give a displacement of 1500cc. Yaris have a maximum power of 106 bhp @ 6000 rpm and also have a maximum torque of 103 lb @ 4200rpm.

Toyota Yaris should have length, width, height of 3614mm, 1600mm and 1440mm respectively. It also should have a headroom of 945mm. It offers 5 seater capacity normally like all other hatchbacks.

Independent MacPherson strut torsion beam suspensions give better riding comfort in Indian roads. Toyota also includes some features like tilt steering, front and rear disc brakes, body colour bumber, tachometer, trip meters, 2 airbags for driver and co-driver, parking sensors, fog lamps, ABS and EBD for their precious costomers. Traction controls, Xenon lamps, headlamp washers, etc should be avilable for top versions.

2010 Toyota Land Cruiser 200 VX [Review]

The name Land cruiser represents the significant cred in off-roading circles. Toyota updated Land cruiser from its previous models by making a 45 litre auxiliary fuel tank which is standard on all models. It also added crawl control for diesel models because it is standard on the petrol. Other updates like a reverse camera, auxiliary audio input jacks, iPod connectivity and a rear 12 volt power outlet.
