BMW has officially unveiled the new second generation of X3. as far as engines are concerned, the X3 will only be available with one petrol and one diesel. Powered by a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbocharged straight-six direct injection engine, the petrol xDrive35i makes 306 horsepower ( and 400 Nm of torque. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine on the other hand makes just 184 hp and 380 Nm of torque. The petrol is 3.2 seconds quicker than the diesel in a 0-100 kmph sprint completing its in just 5.7 seconds while the diesel xDrive20d does it in 8.5 seconds. But as far as emissions are concerned , the petrol burns 8.8 liters of fuel per 100 km, or 26.7 mpg , and emits 204 grams of CO2 per kilometer while the diesel burns 5.6 liters of fuel per 100 km, or 42mpg combined. Interior space has been bumped up in this new model with vehicle cargo space of anywhere from 550 to 1,600 liters thanks to its 40:20:40 rear seating that can be folded down in several combination. Prices have not been released yet on this second generation model
