First Photos Of 2012 Mercedes C-Class Coupe Leaked

The Internet has done it again, pictures of the upcoming 2012 Mercedes C-Class Coupe have been leaked.

Lets go straight to the exterior design and we must admit, its a pretty elegant car. The car has the same front as the recently facelifted sedan and estate versions of the C-class but the similarities end at the A-pillar. Every other design element is unique to the coupe. The coupe features a Hoffmeister-like kinked rear window, a more rakish roofline, a complete new rear end and an upward sweeping shoulder line.

On the inside you get the same redesigned dashboard that we see in the facelifted C-Class sedan and wagon with fewer seats.

As for power, the engine options will likely be the same ones offered on the sedan with maybe even a Black Series option sporting a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 churning out  563 bhp and 664 lb-ft of torque.

Stay tunned to hear more!

Mercedes-Benz SLS Gullwing Convertible Spied Almost Uncamouflaged

We finally have it, spy photos which show us most of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gullwing Convertible.

The convertible remains mostly similar to the SLS AMG hardtop except the fact that it has lost the big highlight gullwing doors. That still shouldint deter a possible buyer because the car looks amazing with its top down.

The car houses a revised version of the canvas top which we saw being used on the old SLR roadster.
The top is electrically-operated and is made from a lightweight aluminium roof frame clad in canvas.  Expect a top speed of more than 200mph with power coming from the same 6.2-litre V8 used in the gullwing SLS AMG.

Expect the Mercedes-Benz SLS Gullwing Convertible to make is official debut at the next year’s Frankfurt Motor Show with a price tag of about $240,000 (£180,000).

Mercedes SLS AMG Inspired Speedboat

U.S. based boat builder Cigarette Racing has unvieled a new U.S. 46 foot rider speedboat inspired by the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.

Although the SLS and the boat share nothing in the sense of power, the AMG inspiration on the boat is apparent on first look .Power for the boat comes from two 552-cubic inch (over 9.0-liters) twin-turbo Mercury Racing engines that make 1350 each for a top speed of 209 km/h.

On the extirior you get two-tone silver and white paint with a big AMG decals and on the inside you get marine-grade upholstery.

Another Benz Spied

Another Benz prototype has been spied but this time it's their massive SUV : the GL. Aesthetics will be drastically changed and will follow the new Benz design first Introduced in the E class. The GL will feature a more aerodynamic face, wider grille and headlights that will be rounded .A new bumper with Mercedes's new LED lights can also be expected These will be joined by a reprofiled bumper that's likely to feature Mercedes' new LED running lights. The Gl will continue sharing its engines with the ML's 3.0-liter BlueEfficiency and 4.0-litre diesels with the 5.5-liter petrol to be the top of the range all coming with Mercedes' 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic gearbox. The GL will come with new lights and a longer spoiler in the rear to improve aerodynamics and fuel efficiency. Expect this new Gl to go on sale some time in 2011 with a price tag starting at around £55,000.

New CLS Spied Again

Benz' s new CLS prototype has been caught in the act again and it looks like it will not disappoint. Styling looks sharp with a new front fascia that looks almost like the new CL and some curves and cues borrowed form the F800 Style concept. The elegant coupe line still remains as a major styling element in the car making it look even more aggressive. New LEDs provide a more aesthetically pleasing car compared to old car light which were very ugly. LED tail lamps are also one of the many things that still remain from the concept car. The new car will be powered by Mercedes' new V6 and V8 engines with stop start and a new direct injection technology. The new 3.5- litre V6 is 24% more economical than the old CLS but makes 33 bhp more making 301 bhp and a new 4.7-litre V8 replaces the old 5.5 litre mkaing the car 20% more fuel efficient and 47 bhp more powerful than the old engine for a total of 429 bhp. If that isint enough expect a CLS AMG which makes 563bhp from a new 5.5-litre bi-turbo V8. Expect to see the CLS at the Paris auto show and count on a UK lanch in early 2011.

CL65 & CL63 AMG Images Leaked

Another official image of a new Mercedes has been leaked on to the internet. This time its Mercedes' s star grand tourer cars the CL65 and CL63 AMG. The difference between these two in aesthetics are the rectangular pipes for the quad-exhaust in the CL63 instead of the Oval shaped ones in the CL63, smaller 19 inch rims on the CL63 comapared to 20 inch rims on the CL65 and a mettalic panel in the middle of the rear diffuser for the more powerful 65. Power for the CL63 comes from a new new 5.5-liter, twin-turbo V8 with 544 PS (400 kW / 537 hp) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque while the CL65 stick with a V12 engine producing 630 PS (463 kW/621 hp) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque. V12 engine producing 630 PS (463 kW/621 hp) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque. The AMG's sport a new grill and restyled lights in the front and back to diffrenciate it from the normal Cl. Debuts can be expected to wards the end of the year.

C-class Coupe Spied

The new clc replacing c class coupe has been caught testing for the first time .It all goes as Mercedes plans to assign each car to its specific class: the CLK became the E class coupe, the CLC the C class coupe and all that remains is the CLS which will likely be called the s class coupe when the current s class will be replaced. Looks wise, the c class coupe will have the same front and back end as the current c class with a few LED inserts and a new roof-line with two doors. What is unknown is the camouflaged rear side window which will probably be uniquely Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes wants to set the price lower than the saloon too keep it in the same range as the old CLC was, so 1.6-litre and 1.8-liter petrol's and 2.1-litre diesel engines are expected.
